The oldest trick in memory
The method of loci is about 2,500 years old. Picture a route you know by heart, leave a vivid image at every stop, then walk it again in your mind to recall each one in order.
How it works
01
Start from a ready deck or paste your own notes. LOCI breaks them into small facts, one per stop.
02
Three favorites is enough to start. Qloo's taste graph turns them into a pool of anchors you are sure to recognize.
03
Real places you would actually go, in the district where your taste glows brightest. Every stop holds one vivid scene.
04
When cards come due, LOCI sends you on a short walk through your palace. Spaced repetition picks the timing. Your streak keeps you honest.

Memory palaces improved recall over control conditions across 13 randomized trials, falling to about 0.55 after adjusting for bias. The authors note a high risk of experimental bias and few studies.

Information you connect to yourself is remembered better than information processed in other ways. LOCI connects every fact to things you already love.
Symons and Johnson, 1997 · Psychological Bulletin meta-analysisWhy taste data
A mnemonic only works if the image is vivid to you. LOCI asks a taste graph, not a guess, which characters, artists, games and places carry meaning for someone with your favorites.
Anchors are filtered to a popularity band, so every scene uses something you will know at a glance, not an obscure guess.
Each scene carries its reason, like “because you picked Arcane”, so you can see why it should stick for you.
Stops come from real places in your city that match your taste, not random addresses on a map.
When a new show or artist rises in your taste cluster, new palaces can unlock, so the anchors never go stale.
Only your favorites are used for taste. No names, no contacts, no location history.
